Description

A small pleasant area on Slangkop above Kommetjie with
a short walk-in and nice views.
How to get there: Drive to the top of Rubbi Road in Kommetjie and park at St Joseph's Catholic Church parking area on the right.

This very convenient parking is open to the public and used daily by dog-walkers and hikers, so please don't compromise access by parking cars, slamming doors, playing music, talking loud, etc.while any church services or events are in progress; then, rather park lower down on Rubbi Road. Also, do not park in the opposite parking area on the left side of Rubbi Road, this is not generally open to the public.

Walk-in: (15 mins) Head straight uphil along the tree-lined sandy track.Boulder A is at the top of the track on the right. An obvious large sandy trail heads off to the left at the top of the tree lane, follow this.
15-20m further on another large sandy trail goes right and uphill. Do not follow this, but stay on the one you're on, which heads out straight along the hill a bit more
and then turns right and uphill. At the crest of this trail, just before it starts dropping down again(small rise/outcrop to your right), look for cairns starting 5m in on the right and follow
these. The main Boulder D will come into view on top of a rock step straight in front.
Warm-Down:Cold beer and good vibes at Fisherman's Garden, located opposite the traffic
circle when driving into Kommetjie from the climbing area.
