Description

Arico is the sector with the highest concentration of routes on the island – 250+ bolted routes of all difficulty.
You will also find a wide range of boulders with more than 100 problems for all levels.
The crag offers areas that are always in the sun and other always in shade making it a perfect destination all year long.

🚯 This is a very popular ravine. Be careful not to leave trash (tape and cigarette butts included). The ravine belongs to everyone -please take care of it!

⬆️ from the 🅿️ and bridge is Arico Arriba:
In "Arico Arriba" the routes are, in general, short and powerful. You will find moderate routes, mostly grade 6.
There are many boulders scattered throughout this area of the ravine, with problems of all difficulties.

⬇️ from the 🅿️ and bridge is Arcio Abajo:
In "Arico Abajo" the routes are longer than in "Arico Arriba" and the most difficult routes are concentrated here.
Although the highest concentration of boulders is in "Arico Arriba,” you will find some in this section of the ravine as well.
And although the ravine itself alternates between sun and shade throughout the day, most sectors are in the sun during the afternoon.

History

This was one of the first sectors in the South of Tenerife to be bolted. (The first route is already thirty years old.) Over time, the majority of the routes have been re-bolted.
