This sector offers a cool variety of boulders from easy to challenging problems close to the nice little river.
La Cool and Sweet Potato are two classic lines.
Easy access in 5-8 minutes from the Steibrächer parking.
Please try not to cross grass fields and avoid flattening the grass with crashpads.
You can walk along fences or the outline oft the grass fields.
Watch out in spring when snow is melting higher up, the river can get much bigger.
Please accept the parking ticket situation in Murgtal.
There are two different parking zones:
Murg parking spaces: all parking spaces in the village plus the Steinbock and Steibrächer parking spaces
Murgtal parking spaces: all parking spaces from Entlinge upwards
!!There is no parking meter where both rates can be paid!!
New features – Murg parking spaces:
Parking fee is CHF 12 for 24 hours
Vignette CHF 100 for 1 year
Overnight stays are strictly prohibited in all parking spaces!
New features – Murgtal parking spaces:
Now billed hourly (CHF 1.80 per hour)
Special rates apply for longer stays:
CHF 30 per day
CHF 60 per week
CHF 100 per month
CHF 600 per year
Overnight stays in your vehicle are permitted at the Steibrächer parking facility for a corresponding parking fee.
New features – Parking meters:
Manual credit card payments are no longer possible – only cash or app payments!
(Parking apps, payment apps, and credit card apps à Parking meter shows all options)
Parking meters in the Murg zone (hourly rate) are located at the Weiher and at Steibrächer (the parking meter by the restroom!).
Parking meters in the Murgtal zone are located at Steibrächer (parking meter by the Forsthaus building) and up at the See sector (only Swisscom customers have reception here; all other visitors can use the WiFi at the parking meter). From Quarten, you can also pass the parking meter at the Schwendi parking lot.
