Bredared

A small but nice crag just north of Borås.

ASPECT AND CLIMATE
The crag is facing south­east and is in the sun until early afternoon. Some of the routes dries slowly if it has rained a lot. Best period is May to September.

THE ROUTES
The climbing in Bredared is mostly slightly overhanging but there are also some steep slabs. The crag is 6-15 m high. All routes are well bolted and equipped with lower-offs with carabiners.

The crag was developed by climbers from Borås during 2002.
In the autumn 2023 Borås KK began a big Crag make over; cleared the cliff of fallen trees, dug clean above the climbing routes, cleared the old climbing routes and made several new ones. A shorter approach was cleared and a bridge was built to cross the stream.
The work will be completed in April 2024.
