Description

Buthiers Canard 🦆
As for the Buthiers area in general, you can find some MASSIVE blocks around. This less visited area is filled with 5 star lines, both huge and massive. Some with serious landings. You can find less scary climbs also around and there are some easier circuits as well.

⚫ The classic BLACK circuit (blocks are named "Black" whenever there is a black circuit line on it). This circuit is for very strong climbers, or it's highly recommended to top rope at least some of the problems first. The circuit has been repainted in 2015 and is now 1-22 long and graded ED (extremely difficult!). A lot of the problems are very high!

🔵 The blue circuit is also repainted in 2015 and is 1-38 long and stretches a bit towards the area "Buthiers Tennis". This one has some highballs as well, but most of the problems are low with good landings. The circuit is of D+ difficulty. Blocks are named with a "Blue" or "B" +the corresponding number of that blue problem.

🟠 The orange circuit newly repainted and is 1-34 long. This goes mostly on the lower boulders with a few exceptions as well. It's difficulty is AD. Blocks are named with "Orange" or an "O" and the corresponding number if there is an orange problem on it.

🟡 The yellow circuits numbering is mostly all gone atm (2023). It's a PD- and 1-29 long but extremely hard to see any remaining numbers.

🅿️ There are 3 parkings marked on the map. For the most northern part of the area, you should park on the parking next to these blocks. For the main part of the area, park on either of the parkings.

📶 The reception is at least decent around, but offline mode works always a bit better.

As a sidenote, the area didn't look like it's all developed.. There are for sure plenty of lines undone/forgotten around this area. So for the eager, bring a brush and open new stuff!

The area is access sensitive!
