🧗♂️ One of the oldest crag of the area! A perfect winter climbing location near the city of Callosa de Segura. It offers around 50 routes with easy slabby climbs in sector Solana/sector 3 and steep overhang climbs in Sector 2. Normally this area is really quiet and with its beautiful setting, it is worth a visit for a good day sport climbing.
On the multipitch crag El Polígono, the first ascents date from the 60’s. By the end of the 80´s, the poor condition of the existing routes motivated the youngest members of the Centro Excursionista, who lacked a nearby training crag, to bolt Sector 1. A year later, Sector 2 and Sector 3 were developed, all paid for by the Centro Excursionista. Nowadays, there are a couple of multipitch sectors and six sport climbing sectors, with the five most popular and accessible described here.
The area is access sensitive!
Some routes still have old bolts (spits) and some lower offs need replacing. The flora and fauna here are protected, so it is essential to follow instructions on the many information boards, and to walk only on the marked paths.
