Access to the crags is fairly straightforward and similar for all sectors. From Ceva or Imperia, follow the SS28 state road until you reach the village of Cantarana. Here, turn toward Albenga Alto and Caprauna. Just after crossing the bridge, park along the road near the ANAS maintenance building.
From the parking area, take the descending road that leads toward the river. After about 200 meters, a path branches off to the right with signs for Balma del Messiere. Follow this trail; after roughly ten minutes of walking, shortly before reaching the Balma del Messiere wall, turn left to access the Pilastro degli Straceni sector.
Alternatively, from the parking area, cross the road and take the obvious path that climbs uphill through the forest. In just a few minutes, it leads to the base of the Cantarana Classico crag, as well as the canyon and Confronto sectors.
