Bella e assolata terrazza panoramica affacciata sulla valle.
La falesia, esposta in pieno sud, è ottima nel periodo invernale e, volendo, anche durante le mezze stagioni (salvo divieto stagionale) nelle giornate senza sole pieno.
La roccia, uno gneiss rossastro, asciuga molto velocemente e offre perlopiù placche tecniche di aderenza e muri verticali, anche se non mancano alcune sezioni più atletiche e strapiombanti, sopratutto nel lato sinistro.
L'arrampicata, comunque, nel complesso, per la disposizione e la morfologia delle prese, non è banale e spesso di difficile lettura, anche se abbastanza discontinua.
Sconsigliata ai bambini: seppur comoda, la base è comunque posta su una cengia.
L'area appartiene al territorio contiguo al parco della Val Grande, quindi, qualora ve ne fosse bisogno, si ricorda il rispetto assoluto per l'ambiente e per i divieti di arrampicata stagionali (generalmente da fine inverno a fine estate) per la nidificazione del falco pellegrino: controllare gli eventuali cartelli di norma posti a inizio e lungo il sentiero.
Cortesemente parcheggiare nell'area indicata in mappa e non nel piccolo spiazzo a inizio sentiero, per non intralciare i residenti.

Beautiful and sunny panoramic terrace overlooking the valley.
The crag, exposed to full south, is great in winter and, if you want, also during the shoulder seasons (unless seasonal ban) on days without full sun.
The rock, a reddish gneiss, dries very quickly and offers mostly technical friction slab and vertical walls, although there are some more athletic and overhanging sections, especially on the left side.
Climbing, however, overall, due to the disposition and morphology of the holds, is not banal and often difficult to read, although quite discontinuous.
Not recommended for kids: although comfortable, the base is however on a ledge.
The area belongs to the territory adjacent to the Val Grande park, so, if needed, remember to respect the environment and seasonal climbing bans (usually from late winter to late summer) for the peregrine falcon nesting: check the signs usually posted at the start and along the path.
Please park in the area indicated on the map and not in the small clearing at the start of the path, to avoid obstructing residents.

History

Falesia nata già negli anni '90 per mano di Maurizio Pellizzon e Osvaldo Lani che svilupparono circa 25 linee.
Successivamente, Matteo Ruffin aggiunse i 5 itinerari di sinistra, oltre l'angolo.
Nel corso degli anni vengono poi chiodati i due tiri più duri dell falesia: "A Manetta 1986" e "Borderline", liberati da F. Manoni.
Ultimi nati sono alcuni tiri molto facili, di discutibile bellezza, aperti dallo stesso Pellizzon.
Nel 2024, Stefano Bianchi colto da un'improvvisa e mistica visione, chioda il sasso di "White stripes", un bel boulder con la corda che libererà l'anno successivo.
La storia di Colloro non è finita, nel tempo altri tiri e settori potrebbero aggiungersi qua e là.

Crag born back in the '90s thanks to Maurizio Pellizzon and Osvaldo Lani who developed around 25 routes.
Later, Matteo Ruffin added the 5 pitches on the left, beyond the corner.
Over the years, the two hardest routes of the crag are then bolted: "A Manetta 1986" and "Borderline", freed by F. Manoni.
The latest additions are some very easy pitches, of questionable beauty, opened by Pellizzon himself.
In 2024, Stefano Bianchi, hit by a sudden and mystical vision, bolts the "White stripes" rock, a nice boulder with the rope that he'll free the following year.
The story of Colloro isn't over, over time other routes and sectors might be added here and there.

The area is access sensitive!

Per arrivare al parcheggio:

Raggiunto il paese di Premosello, imboccare via "Caduti per la Libertà" presso una piazzetta con bar e seguire le indicazioni per Colloro che si raggiunge con circa 4 km di strada stretta a tornanti.
Arrivati a Colloro, prendere a sinistra via Fontana e dopo circa un centinaio di metri girare a sinistra entrando in un area apposita per il parcheggio, con bagni pubblici e fontanella.

Avvicinamento:

Proseguire su via Fontana fino alla fine, dove si trova un piccolo parcheggio riservato ai residenti. Qui, alcuni scalini, sulla destra, danno accesso a un sentiero pianeggiante che, inizialmente, costeggia alcuni vecchi muri a secco, poi attraversa un ruscello e, dopo circa 10 minuti, giunge a un bivio.
Per la falesia girare a destra (cartello indicatore) e, dopo circa altri 10 minuti, si giunge direttamente alla bella terrazza panoramica che fa da base.
Il sasso di "White stripes" è situato e ben visibile, sulla destra, lungo il sentiero di avvicinamento.
L'area è soggetta a periodiche chiusure (generalmente dalla fine dell'inverno all'autunno) causa nidificazione del falco pellegrino, segnalate di anno in anno con visibili cartelli a inizio e lungo il sentiero di accesso: verificare di volta in volta.

To get to the car park:

Reach Premosello village, take "via Caduti per la Libertà" near a small square with a bar and follow the signs for Colloro, which is about 4 km up a narrow winding road.
Arrived at Colloro, turn left onto via Fontana, and after about 100m turn left into a designated parking area with public toilets and a water fountain.

Approach:

Continue on via Fontana to the end, where there's a small parking area reserved for residents. Here, some steps on the right lead to a flat path that initially follows some old dry stone walls, then crosses a stream and, after about 10 minutes, reaches a fork.
For the crag, turn right (signpost) and, after about another 10 minutes, you'll arrive directly at the beautiful panoramic terrace that serves as the base.
The "White stripes" rock is located and clearly visible on the right, along the approach path.
The area is subject to periodic closures (generally from late winter to autumn) due to peregrine falcon nesting, indicated annually with visible signs at the start and along the access path: check each time.
