Description

🚶‍♂️ 2' - ⛰️ 80 MSL - 🧭 SW - ☀️ late morning and early afternoon

Eldorado is a nice sector on the opposite side of Adige river from the historic Ceraino crag.
The 150 meters high wall hosts some short multi-pitches, some of which are quite challenging and 20 sport routes, ranging from 6b to 8a.
Climbing is generally really technical on a compact limestone. There are many crimps, small pockets, cracks and sometimes some nice tufas.
Multi-pitches run along dihedral and cracks and sometimes face steep roofs. Rappel down to come back to the base.
We suggest to wear an helmet, since on the top there could be animals moving some rocks
Crag base is comfortable and the walking approach cannot be any shorter.
Best seasons to climb here are Spring and Autumn, even if Summer mornings and Winter afternoons could be enjoyable.

Eldorado is just in front of the large crag of Ceraino and close to Garda and Forte San Marco. The Lake Garda area has nice attractions and good restaurants. Consider taking a boat trip on the lake to fully enjoy your vacation!

History

Eldorado is a clearly evident wall that waited a long time before being bolted. This sector thanks Andrea Simonini, local strong climber and tireless bolter, who started the wall development during 2010. He got help from Marco and Michele Battaglia, Tommaso Marchesini, Giacomo Duzzi, Lisa Guzzo, Lorenzo Moretto, Alessandro Pimazzoni, Sergio Coltri.
