Here we report the amazing Ewige Jagdrünge, which is one of the most famous sport climbing areas of Zillertal. The crag consists of five main sectors and a couple of smaller blocks. The granite quality is excellent and there are a huge number of routes of a wide difficulty range. One will generally face cracks, defininite crimps and high friction slopers.
Ewige Jagdrünge suits both guys searching for high difficulties and families. The approach is short and the crag base on these beautiful laws could not be more comfortable.

Climbing conditions are good from late April/May (depending on the snow amount) till Autumn. Summer is fresh here thanks to the 1200 meters of altitude. During winter the area is shaded and really cold.

Ewige Jagdrünge is probably the best sports sector in Zillertal and you will not be disappointed. Please respect the area and take home your rubbish. Let’s keep this magical place clean!

Some infos about Zillertal! It is one of the wildest valleys South of Inn in Tyrol and it is a great destination for climbing, thanks to the huge amount of bouldering and sport areas.
It is drained by the Ziller River and lies in the strongly glaciated Zillertal Alps. One can appreciate the view of the Tux Alps on the West, while the lower grass peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps on the East.
Among the other valleys in Tyrol, this one is the most visited by tourists and its largest settlement is Mayrhofen. What makes Zillertal one of the leading destinations in the Alps is its offer of a healthy mix of adventure, enjoyment and relaxation.

Ewige Jagdrünge is the area where the first routes were set up by Gerhard Horhager, Franz Steindl, Andreas Aschenwald, Swami Prem Darshano, Andreas Kroll, Willi Noichi, Uwe Eder, …
During Spring of 2007 and 2018, the equipment had a great maintenance.
