Description

A quiet and old sector close to Nemours. Without a proper guide it's not so easy to navigate around. Hopefully this now changes. The area is basically on a hill top but the boulders are scattered on both sides of the hill.
A lot of the problems are exposed to both wind and sun, so some parts of the area will dry quickly. But the northern part or in-between the massive boulders a lot of the problems stay moist for a long time.
The area features a lot of singular problems and a few circuits. It's a land of big and giant boulders. Some of the problems are extremely high and even have bolts on top of the boulders. But as always in Fontainebleau, you also have lower boulders with good landings.

You can find many circuits here
Yellow PD 🟡 D-50, this is a pretty newly painted very nice circuit
Orange AD+ 🟠 1-48. A sometime bit expo circuit but very fun for a more relaxed day around the area.
Blue D 🔵 1-35. A very nice circuit with a lot of high quality problems!
Black TD+ ⚫ 1-33 long. This is a very old school circuit, with some problems that would need to see a brush before attempting. A lot of the problems are high or very high or extremely exposed, some even have bolts. Only suitable for very experienced climbers.

The boulders in this guide are named according to the circuits, Y for Yellow, O for Orange, B for Blue and Black written out completely to not be mistaken for the blue circuit. This will help you navigate through a circuit if you want to complete one.

You will obviously also find a lot of problems outside the circuits! And still a lot of first ascents could be done for those searching for that.

The area is both family friendly 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and not so family friendly. A big part of the area is very nicely approachable with a stroller (off-road capable), and for a fun day at the crag very nice. And a lot of the yellow problems might suit smaller climbers as well. But some parts of the area features mostly really high boulders and sketchy landings and are not accessible with a stroller.

As always it might be good to download ⬇️ guide for offline use, but Puiselet is located fairly close to Nemours and you will have a bit of reception almost in all spots, except maybe in the corridors between the high boulders.
