Description

🧗
climbing on mostly vertical faces on pockets in moderate grades is predominantly at this crag. Protection is quite good but a few serious exceptions at "Kühlochfels".

🌸🌼🍂
Season here is all year but the few wet winter days. At "Locherfelsen" you can catch some sun in late afternoon from spring to autumn.

💧
"Locherfelsen" dries fast, if it's windy even in an hour. All other sectors stay wet for long time, especially in winter and spring when the pockets are soaking

👶
This spot is excellent for kids. Only downer is the quite long access to "Kühlochfels"

🍽🍻🛌
In Königstein is all you need. An open air swimming pool, shopping facilities. good restaurants and accommodation. For excellent dinner my recommendation is "zum Hirschen" at the market place, where you get good food.

Steinberg Nord

The area is access sensitive!

🦮
At "Locher Felsen" are living goats, please leave dogs outside the corral.

🚗
This crag is spread over a forest located eastwards to "Königstein". Next village is "Loch". From "Königstein" drive towards "Gaissach" until you reach "Loch" after 1km. On the right there's a parking place arranged on private property. please park here and nowhere else in this village. ⚠️

🚶‍♂️
Locher Felsen: You already can spot the sector from parking. Look for the gate at the fence next to goat barn.

Kühlochfels: Get on the country lane next to parking leading south-east. Follow that road for 400 meters ahead, then take the left road continue following the valley until you reach the forest after 950 meters. Turn left and follow signs towards "Kühloch". Enter the forest, keep right and pass the ridge.

Teufelstuhl - Schafberg:
Enter the corral and pass "Locher Felsen" on the left trail until you get onto the other side of the corral. Get onto the hiking trail with the blue bar. Follow that trail for about 450 meters and you reach "Teufelstuhl". Continue following the trail keeping left down the hill and you get to "Schafberg" to your right.
