Both sectors stay wet for long time. especially the starting roof at "Beach" soaks until summer.
"Veldener Wand" can be worth a visit if there's some wind, the open faces can dry faster

At "Veldener Wand" you find vertical and slightly overhanging powerful climbing on crimps and small pockets beside some cracks. At "Beach" there are plenty bouldering possibilities at the roof with longer powerful routes above.

"Beach" is perfect with kids. There's only the river what could be the only downer.
The base at "Veldener Wand" is okay but quite narrow, access is steep but short.

All along the River "Pegnitz" you find good restaurants and cafes. In Velden is an excellent cafe with cakes. Little shoppings can be done here as well. Accommodation is all around and a good place to be is already visible from the "Beach" across the river upon the hill. For bigger shopping go to "Neuhaus".
