Description

Krraba is a new crag not far from the picturesque namesake village, about 40 minutes outside Tirana.
The walls lie on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley that is a hiking and swimming destination in its own right.
There are multiple sectors within walking distance from each other offering a variety of grades and climbing styles. From beginner level to project and from slabs through tufa walls to roof climbing.
The big cave gets shade most of the day in summer and is sheltered from rain, although the holes will start to seep after prolonged rainfall.

History

All the routes that have been bolted here so far have been equipped with bolts provided by a project from developmental organisation GIZ.
The bolting here was spearheaded and done mostly by the local climbing community. A special thanks goes out to a group of psyched Slovenians that came out specifically to bolt together with the locals and added many nice routes in and around the cave.
