Description

Nasenwand is one of the main crags in Zillertal. You can see it already when you drive up the road to Ginzling. The exposed wall stands high above the little village on it´s east side. Approach is arround 20-25min. The foot of the crag is quite steep and not kid-friendly.
The crag offers all variations of climbing, short and powerful and really long endurance test pieces up to 40m. You can enjoy one of the best ‘Gneis’ from Zillertal in enjoyable climbing and on hard moves.
The crag is facing from NW, W to SW and in the shadow from the morning to mid afternoon.

Sektor "Pepino Pilotino" and "Wolke 7" are really exposed on a ledge. You can reach it from Sektor "ToiToiToi" using the via ferrata exit. Pay attention and secure yourself properly!

History

The local climbers in Zillertal started to discover the Nasenwand in 2007. They but in a lot of effort into bolting and cleaning this beautiful lines. Thanks to Uwe Eder, Wolfgang Rottensteiner, Matthias Schiestl, Daniel Kopp and Markus Schwaiger for all the work. The result is one of the big main climbing crags in Zillertal with it´s beautiful rock and perfect lines in all variations and difficulties.
