Description

Big routes on big stones. Easier routes have also been climbed over the years, and now days they are dug open again. Quality of rock is good.

In Pirunpesä there are some classics, like Tomi Nytorp's Kellarijengi (8a) which was one of the first of this grade in Finland. Located slightly apart of the main area is route Bob Marley (8a+) which is one of the hardest in Turku. If you like small grimps and pulling hard, this is your route.

Distance of main area and Surgukivi is about 650 m. There has been seen some snakes. Otherwise terrain is good for children but the boulders are not.

Routes are vertical or overhanging. Highest routes are about 6 m high but generally about 4 m.

Recommended routes: Red October, Left October and Kellarijengi
