🚗 Driving Directions:
From Fayetteville: Turn right and drive north on US-19 N for 21.6 miles, crossing over 2 bridges (the NRG bridge and the Meadow River Gorge bridge), then through 2 stoplights, and over one more bridge over the lake. Take a LEFT onto Long Point Access Road (Co Rte 19/32) then an another immediate LEFT onto the access road for the Salmon Run Boat Ramp (this road is unnamed, you will shortly pass a sign saying "This Road Not Maintained In The Winter". Drive 1.0 miles until you reach the paved parking area for the summer Salmon Run Ramp. As you drive into the lot, in the back left corner of the lot is the road that continues down to the winter boat ramp. Drive all the way down the winter boat ramp. Park along the road out of the way -- be sure to leave plenty of space in the large turn around area adjacent the dock/boat ramp so that vehicles with trailers can turn around.

From Summersville (from Walmart): Turn right and drive south on US-19 S for 5.0 miles. Take a RIGHT onto Long Point Access Road (Co Rte 19/32) then an immediate LEFT onto the access road for the Salmon Run Boat Ramp (this road is unnamed, you will shortly pass a sign saying "This Road Not Maintained In The Winter". 🚶‍♂️Hiking:
From the parking, hop the mud/drainage between the boat ramp and cliff line, then follow the cliff line climber's left, away from the US-19 bridge over the lake. Find the path of least resistance between the water and the cliff line. It is about 0.2 miles to the Oatmeal Boulder and 0.25 miles to Poached Egg Boulder. The trail is entirely in the lakebed, which requires rock hopping and routefinding. There are no trails in the lakebed. Total hiking time: 10 minutes.
