No special access issues

Although the edge is on privately owned land, the landowner is happy for climbing to continue as long as climbers respect the area. Do not damage trees or vary from the established footpaths!
Nesting birds, particularly Tawny Owls, can sometimes cause the temporary closure of certain routes... you wouldn't want to get too close to one anyway!
Approach: On the far side of the eastern end of the larger of the two Rivelin Dams, just off the A57 Sheffield to Glossop road, there is a large free car park. A height restriction barrier (1.88m) is in place, denying entry to high vehicles (VW Transporter size upwards) though these can be parked on a dead-end lane 50m to the right (do not block access to Fox Holes Lodge). Walk back over the dam to reach the A57 and cross this with great care (pay particular attention to the blind bend just up the road, around which vehicles often drive extremely quickly) to the start of a well-marked public footpath. Follow this for approximately 200m, passing a green conservation signboard, to reach a wooden post with a small yellow marker. Fork left here and follow a narrow trail for a further 100m to where it splits again: for the centre and right-hand side of the crag (Rivelin Pinnacle Area to Altar Crack Area) take the better-defined right-hand branch; for the Kremlin Krack Area, President’s Buttress and Birch Buttress, take the lesser-defined left fork up through the trees and boulders (although these areas can also be reached from the main crag by traversing leftwards). Allow 10-12 minutes from the parking area.
