Driving Directions:
From Fayetteville, turn right onto US-19N and cross the NRG bridge. Take the 2nd right after the bridge onto Lansing-Edmond Road. Drive almost 3 miles, passing the Endless Wall Parking lots. Turn right onto Beauty Mountain Road. Take the leftmost fork and park in the new NPS lot on the right. If this lot is full, you can go back out to the 3-pronged fork and park nose in between the middle and right forks, leaving room for other cars. Locals use all of these roads, so park well off them.

Hiking Directions:
From the NPS parking lot, take the trail from the back right corner and follow the trail to the road and past the closed gate, as if you're going to Beauty Mountain or the BBQ Babies Cave.

Ali Bubba Cave: The gravel road curves to the right, and if you look over the edge, you'll see that the left-hand side of the road is just above a cliff. The Ali Bubba Cave is in this cliff, so when the road curves left again and you start down the hill, cut off on a very faint trail to your left (the trail to the seldomly climbed Garbage Wall). Bushwhack down the slope and along the base of the Garbage Wall until you come to the Ali Bubba Cave. Total hiking time: 6 minutes.

Short Creek Right: Continue down the gravel road through a couple curves and a short, steep hill just past the turnoff for Beauty Mountain (a well-worn singletrack trail with a sign on your left), and take the next left (not quite as well worn). The trail breaks off from the gravel road just across from the Super Mario Boulder (a big bolted boulder). The first boulder is almost immediately to your right. Total hiking time: 7 - 15 minutes.

Short Creek Left: Continue down the gravel road through a couple curves and a short, steep hill, and take the well-worn trail (with a sign) to your left toward Beauty Mountain. Cross the stream, and when you see cliff on your left, "Appalachian Arithmetic" is the arete. The trail splits just after "Appalachian Arithmetic". Take a right on an extremely faint trail and continue down the hill. There is also a creek crossing from Short Creek Right by "Water Equation" that takes you straight to the lowest (recorded) boulders on the hillside. Total hiking time: 10 -15 minutes.

Genocide Area: Continue down the gravel road through a couple curves and a short, steep hill, and take the well-worn trail (with a sign) to your left toward Beauty Mountain. Cross the stream, and when you see cliff on your left, "Appalachian Arithmetic" is the arete. Keep walking down the main trail to the Brain area of Beauty Mountain (where the trail first hits rope-climbable cliffline). The trail starts out as a gravel road with one steep section. When each area's trail breaks off from this, they have a short steep section (Short Creek Right and Left continue losing elevation as you go), uneven, and poorly maintained (if well traveled). Short Creek Left and Genocide areas have a small creek crossing. Total hiking time: 12 -20 minutes.
