Description

Smörasken (A butter box in swedish) describes the shape of the crag, which is also one of the most popular view points in Nauvo. Smörasken is located in the Högsar island, where a cable ferry takes you from the main island.

History

Bouldering in Smörasken was originally found in the early 2000's by local climber Tero Saari. Along with Tero, most of the routes were developed around 2010 by Samuli Lehesaari, Peetu Ojalehto and Jarkko Reponen. Establishing the boulder problems has been mostly for fun and training, and the first ascensionists didn't do much documentation back then. So the topo grades may be quite rough approximates in places!
