Description

🏝 🚤 🧗‍♀️
Söderskär and Kokkomaa islands lie in the southeast part of the Sipoo archipelago. The biggest problem to get here is not only the weather and wave conditions but also the restriction to land here in the summertime because of the bird's takeover. The islands open up for climbers basically on the 15th of August. Also, early spring is possible before May but It might be quite freezing because of the surrounding ice-cold sea. The main north wall is in the shade all day offering good conditions even at the most sunny days. Its a good idea to bring a wirebrush and ladders to make sure that holds are clean because of very few visitors.

There are public cruises going to Söderskär island through summer and as a paid customer you are allowed to walk on the main island. It's not recommended to go bouldering then anyway because of bird nests and protective attitude of the becoming parents :D On the main island there are only 2 boulder problems which are excellent quality! The bouldering of Kokkomaa is quite flat and easy to walk for kids, but approach from the boat dock need carrying and needs a bit of parkour skills.
