Driving Directions: From Fayetteville, turn right and drive on US-19 north and cross the NRG bridge. Take the second right after the bridge onto Lansing-Edmond Road. Drive about 3.5 miles then take a right onto Buckhorn Road (there's a tiny post office on the right corner). Drive almost a mile down the road until Buckhorn Road makes a big right curve. Go straight onto the dirt road instead of taking the curve. The road is concisely named 'Beauty Mountain Substation Road'. Park on the left at the end in the large graveled area by the actual substation. Be respectful of everyone when parking, do not park immediately against the fencing and please do not block the road, gates or other access points.

Hiking Directions: From the parking, walk back up the road in the direction you came. Just past the edge of the large graveled area for the substation, turn LEFT down an overgrown ATV trail that heads diagonally away from the road and back toward your car. (It is possible to cut down the steep bank closer to your car to join with the trail with winter vegetation.) After the short diagonal jog, the trail heads bends right, straight down the hill away from the parking until it hits a T-intersection. Head RIGHT on this old road grade and the Hollywood Boulder will appear shortly on your right, followed a few feet later by the Beatdown/Amp Boulder cluster.

To access the Flakey and Mini Flakey boulders: Walk 1 to 2 minutes farther up the road grade (<0.1 miles) past Beatdown/Amp. Find a social trail marked by a cairn on your right, the "It's Perfect" boulder will be visible through the trees from the road. Each subsequent boulder is visible from the prior.

To access Beetle Mania and Life in Color boulders: continue a minute past the turn off for the Flakey Boulders until you encounter an enormous boulder, roadside on your right. Walk around the left (West) side to find "Beetle Mania". Standing facing "Beetle Mania", there is a further enormous boulder to your left. Walk around, behind this behemoth on either side and the Life In Color Boulder will appear, "Life In Color" faces the short cliff, away from the road grade.

To access Saw Tooth, Struggle Bus Boulder, Resistor boulders: continue past the Beetle Mania Boulder. Saw Tooth boulders are visible roadside on your left, Struggle Bus boulder on your right. "Resistor" can be reached by scurrying down the hill around the left side of Saw Tooth Boulder and through the tunnel, or by walking past, then around the back and down the hill from the Saw Tooth Boulder.

To access The Dot and Kibble Boulders: continue about 1 minute past Saw Tooth boulder on the road grade, past a huge boulder touching the left side of the road. Past this boulder, choose your own path through the talus to The Dot Boulder. The Kibble Boulder is just downhill from here.

The trail is a rocky 4x4 with elevation chance. Trails to individual boulders are anywhere from well traveled with little elevation gain to trail-less. All are short though. Total hiking time: 3 to 15 minutes.
