Description

Mostly low boulder in both height and grade, with more than couple of fun routes. Number of partially cleaned walls and boulders in the area offer more development potential. Feel free to continue the cleaning and open new routes! Please add topo suggestions if you do.

Vast majority of the boulders are in heavily forested parts of the crag, so they take a while to dry after rain. Paasikivi and Murkkusläbi are exposed and can be hot during the summer, but also dry quickly.

The forest in is rich in both blueberries and lingonberries, so bring a container during the berry picking season.

History

The village of Taipalmaa (small group of houses and close to the parking spot) was founded around 14th or 15th century. The current fields are still around the locations of the historical fields and an old windmill still stands on top of the hill. The summer cottages started appearing in the area during the later part of the 20th century.

The bouldering routes started to be developed from 2015 on and that process is still ongoing.
