No special access issues
To get to Tal der Könige take the toll road towards Kölnbreinsperre. Pay the toll at the Mautstelle (or come before 7 am to avoid the fee) and drive around 8 km until you see the parking on the left side. The road is winding and partly very narrow – at times even too narrow for two lanes, therefore it is traffic light controlled with waiting times up to max. 20 minutes. The parking is marked on Google Maps: Parkplatz Bouldergebiet Tal der Könige.
From the car park, follow the road uphill for about 50 meters until you see a path on the left side. Follow the path until the first block Z appears a few meters before a bridge. Most of the blocks are found here. To reach The Source and Polytrauma cross the bridge and follow the trail up the valley until you pass the distinctive and 15 meter high sport climbing rock Lodron Block (see pictures for orientation). Turn right and look across the river – on the other side of the river you will spot The Source and Polytrauma a bit further up. You will have to cross the river once more to get there.
Most importantly: Don’t be stupid.*
