Valparola Falzarego Boulder

Immerso in uno splendido ambiente di alta montagna🏔il passo di Valparola, ad una altitudine di 2.192 m, si trova nelle Dolomiti, in provincia di Belluno, 2 km a nord del Passo di Falzarego. Mette in comunicazione la val Badia con l'alto Agordino e, passando dal Falzarego, con la valle d'Ampezzo.
L'area si sviluppa dal passo Valparola a scendere su sentiero, parallelo alla strada, verso il passo Falzarego vicino alla palestra di arrampicata Sass de Stria. I Boulder🪨 sono molto atletici e tecnici con buchi con passaggi anche facili e alcuni difficili, ma il potenziale non è ancora esaurito. Luogo adatto anche a famiglie e bambini soprattutto per lo spettacolare ambiente montano.
E’ possibile anche compiere una bellissima escursione di interesse storico, provvisti di torcia e caschetto, alla Galleria Goiginger del Sas de Stria che passa proprio sotto l’area boulder.

Immersed in a splendid high mountain environment🏔 the Valparola Pass, at an altitude of 2,192 m, is located in the Dolomites, in the province of Belluno, 2 km north of the Falzarego Pass. It connects the Val Badia with the upper Agordino and, passing through Falzarego, with the Ampezzo valley.
The area extends from the Valparola pass down the path, parallel to the road, towards the Falzarego pass near the Sass de Stria climbing. The Boulders🪨 are very athletic and technical with holes with easy and some difficult passages, but the potential is not yet exhausted. Place also suitable for families and children especially for the spectacular mountain environment.
It is also possible to go on a beautiful excursion of historical interest, equipped with a torch and helmet, to the Goiginger Gallery of the Sas de Stria which passes right under the bouldering area.

L'importanza del passo è data dal fatto di essere stato, fino alla prima guerra mondiale, territorio austriaco al confine con l'Italia (che passava poco a sud, lungo il torrente Codalunga): per questo motivo, sul passo fu costruito il Forte Tre Sassi, la cui struttura in realtà non fu mai completamente ultimata, infatti sono stati costruiti solo i basamenti e alcune postazioni. Oggi ospita il museo della Grande Guerra.
Sulla cima del passo si trova il Rifugio Valparola oltre che un piccolo laghetto alpino, il lago di Valparola.

The importance of the pass is given by the fact that it was, until the First World War, an Austrian territory on the border with Italy (which passed just south, along the Codalunga stream): for this reason, the Fort was built on the pass. Tre Sassi, whose structure was never completely completed, in fact only the bases and some stations were built. Today it houses the museum of the Great War.
On the top of the pass there is the Valparola Refuge as well as a small alpine lake, the Valparola lake.
