Description

Välseröd is one of the biggest and most popular crags in Bohuslän. In reality it's not just one crag but consists of a number of walls spred out on the east side of a long valley. Each with its own character. The quality of the rock is excellent and most of the routes are cracks over granite just under vertical. It can get very technical but the gear is usually very good and easy to place.

This is a crag to return to and explore. The list of not-to-be-missed routes is very long. Should 'Villskudd' and 'Slimline' be busy, just continue to a section a little further and you will find equally good routes.

Välseröd

The area is access sensitive!

The road up to Välseröd is a narrow gravel road and nearby residents and landowners need to be able to pass with their vehicles, sometimes tractors and other wide vehicles. Speed limit is 30 km/h for the entire gravel road up the hill. Parking along the road outside the parking pockets is therefore not allowed.

The landowner, the road association and BKK want climbers to camp by the clubs cottage or at a paid campsite in the area. PLEASE NOTE that this also applies to motorhomes. Take your rubbish home and DO NOT use the residents’ bins.

No further bolting is allowed at this crag.
