Description

🌼🌞🍂❄️
Best season is from spring until late autumn.
"Katzenlöcher" and "Bärnhofer Wand" are north facing summer spots. The eastern sector of "Zimmerbergwände" and "Grünreuther Wand" as well. The western sector of "Zimmerbergwände" gets some sun in late afternoon.
"Stadeltenne" is up on a hill and can get a lot of sun in the steep routes on the right.

💧
For shorter rain you can still climb at "Stadeltenne". All other sectors offer a few sections that are rain proof.
Once everything is wet all sectors but "Stadeltenne" need a few days to dry. At "Stadeltenne" you can climb within a few hours after rain.

💪⚙️
The steep routes at "Stadeltenne" offer good protected gorgeous climbing up to 9+/7c+. At the other sectors the routes are easier and mostly good protected. Climbing style is predominantly on vertical or slight overhanging pitted faces and buttresses.
The longer routes at "Bärnhofer Wand" in lower grades together with "Grünreuther Wand" are excellent for pleasure climbers.

👶
At "Zimmerbergwände" the base is quite chaotic at the moment because of fallen trees, not good with kids.
All other sectors but "Brendelstein" are good with kids but no one is accessible with a buggy, though "Bärnhofer Wand" and "Katzenlöcher" are close to a gravel road.

🍽🍻🛌🏊🎸
All along the River "Pegnitz" you find good restaurants and beer gardens. In Velden is an excellent cafe with cakes. Little shoppings can be done here as well as in "Neuhaus". Accommodation is all around.
