Bad Bouldering Incorporated

Bad Bouldering Incorporated is a team consisting of friends and family. Formed in the spring of 2023, the point of the group is to develop crags that other developers wouldn't dare to touch. With the ethos of "Everything that could be climbed, should be climbed"- this team is sure to deliver with bad routes on horrible rock time and time again.

One idea behind the team was to develop the Vantaa-bouldering scene. Ironically, the first three crags developed and published by the team were in Helsinki, Ristiina and Espoo. After these so called deviations, the main idea is back and the team is scouting more new crags in the Vantaa area.

The first crag developed by the team was Haltiavuori by Asikainen, Carpark and Virtala. The crag was published 5.6.2023, and development of the main area was finished on 17.6.2023. It still has a few sectors that can be developped more. The crag currenlty holds over 80 routes, with most being grades 3-4 but also has a decent amount of routes from grades 5-6b.

The team also developed and published Laukonselkä, a tiny DWS crag in the middle of nowhere. It was developed during midsummer of 2023 by Asikainen and Virtala.

Uusmäki begun development a bit after Haltiavuori was finished, but progress has been slow and tedious due to interests being elsewhere and one member going through surgery. During August of 2023 progress picked up again, and the crag should be published during the current year.

The team has set it's sights on a few other places, as multiple possible new crags have been scouted. Coming soon! Maybe.
