🔴 Access
Bosch Kloof has been reopened to climbing after been closed for nigh on five years. Long and timeous negotiations with the owners have resulted in the tentative reopening of the kloof under a permit system. Please use this permit system and read the conditions of use of the kloof, and do not do anything to even slightly jeopardise future access. Do not defecate anywhere in the kloof, or do anything to taint the water in the river. Take ALL your trash out and behave in a respectful manner. No fires, stoves or smoking. For current access information, more info and to book your permit go to www.montaguclimbing.com/boschkloof.

🚗 How to get there
Park at the Legoland parking.

🚶‍♂️ Approach
Approach as for the Panel, until you reach the metal spikes above the road, then carry on for another 80 metres to a path heading up the slope on the right (cairn). Follow this path up slightly and then more-or-less parallel with the dirt road, across the slopes to enter the kloof immediately to the left of a small round cement dam.

🚶‍♂️🧗Bosch:
From the dam, continue to just before the track ends and you will see a cairn marking a path leading up the slope on the left. This leads to Ramset Crag. More-or-less opposite this find a path heading across the river on the right and up to Bosch Crag

🚶‍♂️🧗Ramset
From the dam, continue to just before the track ends and you will see a cairn marking a path leading up the slope on the left. Follow this up to the crag.

🚶‍♂️🧗Forest
Approach as for Bosch Crag, but after you have crossed the little stream, and before going up the final section to the base of Bosch, continue straight along the path heading further up the kloof. A little way further, the path will lead down to the dry riverbed. Cross the riverbed and follow the path (cairned) up left to the crag.

🚶‍♂️🧗Hilti
Approach as for Bosch Crag, but after you have crossed the little stream and before going up the final section to the base of Bosch, continue straight along the path heading further up the Kloof. A little way further, the path will lead down to the dry riverbed. Don’t go down here, but rather continue straight and up to the flat wall above on the right.

🚶‍♂️🧗Twin Fins
Approach as for Forest Crag, but after you cross the dry riverbed, head up and right. Follow the path (cairns) from the top of the scree, up right, past a huge white boulder to the obvious fin further up the slope.

🚶‍♂️🧗Skull
Approach as for Twin Fins, then continue with the path up the right side of the kloof to the huge crag at the head of the kloof on the left.

🚶‍♂️🧗Matrix
From the round cement dam at the foot of Bosch Kloof, break left, following cairns and head towards the ridge, keeping low. Pick up cairns on the ridge and follow these over the ridge and into the valley. Go up the valley to the obvious brown overhanging crag high up on the left.
