Description

A rather small but convenient crag (1 minute walk-in), with some good sport climbing routes in the middle grades. Definitely worth a visit.

ASPECT AND CLIMATE
The crag is facing southwest and is in the sun in the afternoon. Many of the routes dry very slowly.

THE ROUTES
The climbing in Gunnilse is overhanging on relatively good holds but the rock can wear out your fingers quite quickly. Most of the routes are bolted and have lower-offs.

The area is access sensitive!

Never park your car on the gravel road in front of the crag. Always use the edge of the tarmac road just before the turn onto the gravel road. Make sure big vehicles can pass your car.

Keep low profile as there are houses just around the corner.

🚗
From Gothenburg take road 45 following the signs for Karlstad. Follow it for about 5 km, turn right onto road 190 (Hjällbovägen), continue for another 6 km and turn left in a roundabout onto Gunnilsevägen. After about 1 km turn right onto Stuguåsvägen and park on the left side of the road (on the field and without blocking the road for big vehicles).
The drive is about 15 km.
