Description

🧭 N/E/S/W - ☀️ quite shady - 🚶‍♂️ 5-10' - ⛰️ 420-480 MSL

Lizzana is a medium sized boulder area close to Rovereto. The ease of access and the peaceful environment make this place worth a visit.
There are few huge boulders collecting over 70 problems ranging from 4 to 7C. The limestone here is great and some lines feature special tiny pockets that are really entertaining.
There are both slabs, vertical walls and overhangs, all requiring a good amount of finger strength.
The closest boulders are the most frequented and the cleanest.
The approach is short and easy, and the area also suits the families.
Boulders are quite shady, allowing you to climb here almost all year. We advise against coming here in the middle of the Summer, since temperatures could be too high.

If you are spendings some days in the area, we would suggest a visit to the close Lavini di Marco area with its dinosaur footprints and a visit to Rovereto.

History

The area has been handled by many local climbers in the last years. Among them we thank Stefano Ghidini and M.Perotti for their great effort.
