History
Kvam
The Kvam climbing crag, outside the center of Sogndal, has now become Norway's largest climbing crag with over
400 routs. There is a great variety of routes from grade 3 to 8c+, everything from slap climbing and steep
sport climbing. It is the climbing crag where you will find everything! In recent years, Sogndal has been very popular among travelling climbers. Several international celebrities like Joe Kinder and Adam Ondra
have visited. Since the last climb guide in 2011, there have been over 200 new routes. One would
believe that there is no potential for new routes, but the development will probably continue, but not in the same
speed as it has done in recent years. Sigbjørn Veslegard has been the most active for new
routes on Kvam in recent years.
