Description

This topo collects three sectors sharing the same car park by the small village of Monte Terlago.
Monte Terlago is for sure the most interesting one, thanks to its beautiful wall having more than 30 routes from 6c to 8b. There are still many projects and a good potential for other hard routes. The right part of the wall is mainly vertical with technical and fingery lines, while the left part is more physically demanding on a huge overhang. The routes are well bolted and the crag base is really comfortable.
Prada sector has a long approach (45 mins) but it absolutely deserves a visit. The high quality of the rock and the long lines make Prada a hidden gem of Monte Terlago’s area. High finger strength and a good amount of endurance are the keys to reach the top of the 20 routes, having difficulties from 6b to 8b.
Canton and Canton - New Sector are composed of two technical grey compact walls of limestone and are the least frequented sectors among the ones of Monte Terlago. They are nice and the equipment is good. Canton has 11 routes from 6b to 7b, while the new sector has a bunch of projects.

From the top of the routes it is possible to admire a splendid landscape over Bolzano’s valley and mount Bondone. When your climbing session is over, remember to take some time to visit the beautiful lakes of Lamar. They are quite close to Monte Terlago and offer two other small sectors (see them in Lamar topo!).

History

These sectors were bolted by a bunch of local climbers: Valerio Ballardini, Luca Forti, Danilo Bonvecchio, Gianguido Dalfovo, Massimo Faletti and others. Further hard lines will be bolted soon, so stay updated!
