Description

Seven to ten meters high smaller rock wall with only five routes of which three bolted and two naturally protected rather fine crack lines. Unfortunately, hangers are missing on the bolted routes. There is room for a couple of independent shorter new routes on a slightly smaller wall just to the right of the main wall (the last two topo images). The angle is just below vertical, but the right undeveloped wall is slightly steeper.

This crag could be worth a visit if renovated and brushed and also developed with another two or three new routes. Otherwise, one of the traditional routes might possibly attract the occasional crack-thirsty local geek.

ENVIRONMENT
The wall faces south and should be quite sunny in the spring before the leaves emerge.

History

Anyone who has walked to Häggsta along Masmovägen may have seen this wall looming between the trees. The rock was developed by Eva Selin and Anders Lundahl between 30 and 40 years ago.
