Description

Fattoria degli struzzi:
La fattoria degli struzzi is a nice crag surrounded by woods in a quiet area close to Ceniga village. The crag has two sectors: the rightmost one is mainly vertical with some roofs on a grey limestone, while the left one is slightly overhanging with nice routes on crimpers.
La fattoria offers 18 routes from 6a to 7c and all of them are well bolted. The crag base is comfortable, but pay attention cause some rocks could fall from above. It is recommended to wear the helmet and stay close to the wall.

Pizzeria:
The crag has a spectacular grey-yellow limestone and offers technical long routes on crimpers. All the lines are beautiful and the bolts are quite distant.
The difficulties are concentrated around the 7th grade and the routes are long, so a 70 m rope is recommended.

The crag absolutely deserves a visit. The landscape is nice over the Sarca valley.

Coste dell’Anglone:
Coste dell’Anglone is the huge rocky belt behind the cities of Dro and Ceniga. The wall is about 300 meters high and offers a high quality rock. Some routes are very interesting and run along slabs, vertical yellow walls and overhangs. There are both trad and sport lines.
The very quiet environment and the nature of this place certainly make it worthy of a visit.

There is a nice loop ride going around the rocky belt as shown in the map. These trails can be used to approach the routes and to come back to the base.

History

Fattoria degli struzzi:
La fattoria degli struzzi was discovered by the team of Alpine guides of Trentino who bolted some of the routes of the extreme right sector. The remaining routes where equipped by Roni Andres and Fabio Leoni in May 2010.

Pizzeria:
La pizzeria was bolted by Lino Celva and Gianguido Dalfovo, strong climbers of Sarca valley. This crag is the perfect example of new generation old school climbing, since it was recently set up compared to the historical crags of Arco (Massone, Nago, Spiaggia delle Lucertole, ...) but has the classical very technical crimpy style.

Coste dell’Anglone:
The first explorer of Coste dell’Anglone was Giuliano Stenghel, who climbed the most logic and evident lines (Supernova, Mario Centi, …) in the 80s. Then the wall was abandoned for many years till sport climbing entered the scene. In the last year many new lines were born, thanks to the effort of Heinz Grill, Franz Heiss, Sigfrid Konigseder, A. Baldessarini, N. and G. Mantovani, F. Kluckner, M. Staufer, B. Holzer, P. Himmel, D. Filippi, L. Pilati and many other climbers.
