No special access issues
Take the road south from Rethymno toward Spili/Agia Galini. After about 17–20 km, turn right at the crossroads (near Pale) following signs for Plakias/Preveli. Drive to the eastern end of the bay and park close to the sector. Find your way through the dunes in less than five minutes.
