Rocca degli Uccelli is one of the most popular crags during the summer months, thanks to its favorable orientation and the wide range of sectors it offers. It’s an incredibly versatile climbing area, suitable for all skill levels: from short and easy routes perfect for beginners taking their first steps on rock, to steep and physical lines designed for those seeking more advanced challenges. There are also technical slabs, where precision and balance are essential, as well as long pitches ideal for climbers wanting to test their endurance.
The area is also notable for its unique structure: a squared, almost architectural formation that faces directly toward the Boragni valley, creating a stunning panoramic setting. In short, there's something for everyone — a place where every climber can find their style and have fun, surrounded by a distinctive natural environment.

•Parete Principale:
A large wall with a ledge accessible after a short fixed rope. Here you'll find long routes on white rock, with a few hidden gems that are truly outstanding.

•Avancorpo:
Located below the Parete Principale, this is the first sector you reach. It offers technical climbs of great beauty, with difficulties ranging from mid-easy to hard. The right-hand section is slightly more demanding, with exposed and endurance-based routes that are equally impressive.

•Cresta degli Uccelli:
Running along the ridge to the right of the Avancorpo, this area includes a stunning grey slab. Routes here require excellent footwork and precise technique.

•Falesia sulla Strada:
One of the most accessible and quickest sectors to reach. Ideal for beginners, it features three separate and very convenient structures.

•Ubeccu:
A distinctive wall with a spectacular traversing line. Very tough and technically demanding — a true gem for those seeking hard and beautiful routes.

•Grotta Boulder:

Rocca degli Uccelli è una delle falesie più apprezzate durante il periodo estivo, grazie alla sua esposizione favorevole e alla varietà di settori che offre. Si tratta di una zona estremamente versatile, adatta a tutti i livelli di arrampicatore: dalle brevi e facili vie perfette per chi sta muovendo i primi passi sulla roccia, fino a linee strapiombanti e fisiche, pensate per chi cerca sfide più avanzate. Non mancano nemmeno le placche tecniche, dove precisione e equilibrio sono fondamentali, e le vie lunghe, ideali per chi vuole mettersi alla prova su tiri più impegnativi in continuità.
L’area si distingue anche per la sua particolare conformazione: una struttura squadrata, quasi architettonica, che guarda direttamente verso la valle di Boragni, creando un contesto panoramico davvero suggestivo. Insomma, ce n’è per tutti i gusti — un luogo dove ogni climber può trovare il suo stile e divertirsi, immerso in un ambiente naturale molto caratteristico.

Una grande parete con una cengia accessibile dopo una breve corda fissa. Qui si trovano vie lunghe su roccia bianca, alcune delle quali nascondono gemme davvero incredibili.

•Avancorpo:
Situato sotto la parete principale, è il primo settore che si incontra. Ospita tiri tecnici di grande bellezza, con difficoltà che spaziano dal medio-facile al difficile. La parte destra del settore è leggermente più esigente, con vie più resistenti, esposte e di grande fascino.

•Cresta degli Uccelli:
Si sviluppa lungo la cresta a destra dell'Avancorpo e include una splendida placca grigia. Gli itinerari qui richiedono una buona tecnica di piedi e precisione sui movimenti.

•Falesia sulla Strada:
Uno dei settori più accessibili e rapidi da raggiungere. Ideale per iniziare, è composto da tre strutture separate, molto comode e ben attrezzate.

•Ubeccu:
Una parete particolare caratterizzata da una linea traversante spettacolare, estremamente impegnativa e di grande valore tecnico. Una vera perla per chi cerca tiri duri e affascinanti.

•Grotta Boulder:
Un piccolo settore situato sotto la Cresta degli Uccelli, perfetto per giornate corte o sessioni veloci. Offre passaggi intensi in un ambiente raccolto e comodo.

Rocca degli Uccelli ist eines der beliebtesten Klettergebiete in den Sommermonaten – dank ihrer günstigen Ausrichtung und der Vielfalt an Sektoren, die sie bietet. Das Gebiet ist äußerst vielseitig und eignet sich für Kletternde aller Niveaus: von kurzen, einfachen Routen, ideal für Einsteigerinnen, bis hin zu überhängenden und kraftvollen Linien für diejenigen, die nach anspruchsvolleren Herausforderungen suchen. Auch technisch anspruchsvolle Platten, bei denen Präzision und Balance gefragt sind, sowie Mehrseillängenrouten für ausdauernde Kletterinnen sind vorhanden.
Die Felswand zeichnet sich zudem durch ihre besondere Form aus: eine kantige, fast architektonisch anmutende Struktur, die direkt ins Boragni-Tal blickt und eine beeindruckende Panorama-Kulisse bietet. Kurz gesagt: Hier ist für jede*n etwas dabei – ein Ort, an dem Kletternde ihren eigenen Stil finden und sich inmitten einer charakteristischen Naturkulisse austoben können.

Eine große Wand mit einem Band, das nach einem kurzen Fixseil erreichbar ist. Hier findet man lange Routen auf weißem Fels, darunter einige echte versteckte Perlen.

•Avancorpo:
Dieser Sektor liegt unterhalb der Parete Principale und ist der erste, den man erreicht. Er bietet technisch anspruchsvolle Routen von mittlerem bis hohem Schwierigkeitsgrad. Der rechte Teil ist etwas fordernder, mit ausdauerlastigen, exponierten Linien von besonderer Qualität.

•Cresta degli Uccelli:
Verläuft entlang des Grats rechts vom Avancorpo und umfasst eine wunderschöne graue Platte. Die Routen hier erfordern präzise Technik und gutes Fußgefühl.

•Falesia sulla Strada:
Einer der am leichtesten zugänglichen und schnell zu erreichenden Sektoren. Ideal für Einsteiger – er besteht aus drei getrennten, sehr komfortablen Strukturen.

•Ubeccu:
Eine markante Wand mit einer spektakulären Traverse. Sehr schwer und technisch fordernd – ein echtes Juwel für alle, die harte und ästhetische Linien suchen.

•Grotta Boulder:
Ein kleiner Sektor unterhalb der Cresta degli Uccelli, ideal für kurze Tage oder schnelle Sessions. Bietet kraftvolle Boulderprobleme in kompakter, angenehmer Umgebung.

The climbing history of Rocca degli Uccelli began in the 1970s, when pioneers like Vaccari, Grillo, and Calcagno opened the first multi-pitch routes on the main face. In the 1990s, Dinda bolted several lines in the "Avancorpo" sector. However, in 2020 this area was reworked: routes were renamed, lines adjusted, and the entire sector was reimagined.
The most significant contribution came in the 2000s thanks to Delfino, who undertook major development and re-equipping work, turning the crag into a true masterpiece. Also, as in many Ligurian areas, Luca Lenti left his unmistakable mark here as well, crafting some of the most extreme, technical vertical lines — a signature of his style.
It's important to note that the area is subject to seasonal or temporary access restrictions. Climbers must respect current regulations and protect the environment to preserve the legacy and integrity of this remarkable crag.

⏪⌚La storia dell’arrampicata alla Rocca degli Uccelli inizia negli anni ’70, quando pionieri come Vaccari, Grillo e Calcagno aprirono le prime vie lunghe sulla parete principale. Negli anni ’90 Andrea “Dinda” Bisio attrezzò alcune linee nel settore Avancorpo, che furono però in parte riviste nel 2020: le vie vennero rinominate, i tracciati modificati e il settore complessivamente riadattato.
Un contributo fondamentale allo sviluppo dell’area è quello di Delfino, che a partire dai primi anni 2000 ha svolto un intenso e prezioso lavoro di chiodatura e valorizzazione, trasformando la falesia in un vero e proprio punto di riferimento per qualità e continuità delle linee.
Non poteva mancare, come in molte altre aree liguri, l’impronta di Luca Lenti, che ha lasciato il suo segno con alcune vie estreme, verticali e tecniche, espressione del suo stile inconfondibile.
È importante sottolineare che la zona è soggetta a chiusure stagionali o temporanee, finalizzate alla tutela ambientale. Queste restrizioni contribuiscono a preservare il valore naturalistico del luogo, senza intaccarne la storia e il fascino.

Die Geschichte des Kletterns an der Rocca degli Uccelli beginnt in den 1970er-Jahren, als Pioniere wie Vaccari, Grillo und Calcagno die ersten Mehrseillängenrouten an der Hauptwand eröffneten. In den 1990er-Jahren erschloss Andrea „Dinda“ Bisio mehrere Linien im Sektor Avancorpo, die jedoch im Jahr 2020 teilweise überarbeitet wurden: Die Routen wurden umbenannt, die Linienführung angepasst und der gesamte Sektor neu konzipiert.
Einen entscheidenden Beitrag zur Entwicklung des Gebiets leistete Delfino, der ab den frühen 2000er-Jahren eine umfangreiche und hochwertige Erschließungsarbeit durchführte und die Felswand zu einem echten Referenzgebiet in Bezug auf Qualität und Routenbau machte.
Wie in vielen anderen ligurischen Klettergebieten durfte auch hier der Einfluss von Luca Lenti nicht fehlen. Mit einigen extremen, vertikalen und technisch anspruchsvollen Routen hat er der Rocca degli Uccelli seinen unverkennbaren Stil verliehen.
