Driving from Balaguer, take the C-12 road heading north. Approximately 400m after the Km.179 marker turn left on the L-910 and follow this for 2km to reach the village of Os de Balaguer.
From the village turn right and follow a narrow road heading towards Tartareu (7km). Approximately 250m before reaching the village a dirt track cuts off to the left, heading up the valley of Barranc d’Espinau.
The first parking area (P1) is situated about 500m up the track near a tarmac pathway heading up towards the left-hand end of the cliff.
P2 is located some 270m further up the main track, just after a passing another side-track (unsurfaced this time) leading back leftwards.
P3 lies a further 300m up the main track, from where two well-marked walking paths lead back leftwards towards the right-hand sectors of the cliff.
🙋🏽♀️Note: it is also possible to approach the village of Tartareu from the north by turning off the C-12 main road 4km north of the village of Les Avellanes. However, to reach the crag this way means driving through the village of Tartareu itself, whose extremely narrow streets are not suitable for larger vehicles (certainly not big motorhomes!).
Depending on which sector you are heading for use either P1 or P3
🚶♂️🧗♂️Tempura, Bombo Suís, Ànima Negra and La Cara de La Mort:
from P1 follow the surfaced track up and leftwards to where it ends, then continue up a well marked footpath to reach the crag at sector Tempura (5 minutes). For the other sectors just keep going rightwards along the base of the cliff (10 minutes to reach La Cara de La Mort).
🚶♂️🧗♂️Tocho Mocho:
from P2 follow a dirt track heading up towards the cliff, first leftwards and then back right through an almond plantation. Where the track fades out a cairn marks the start of a footpath leading to the sector (5 minutes from P2). Note: from this sector it is actually possible to continue walking up to the main cliff, reaching it below Cavall de Troia.
🚶♂️🧗♂️Cavall de Troia and L’Obsessió de Tibar:
from P3 follow the left-hand of two very obvious path/tracks leading diagonally leftwards towards the cliffs. Where the path splits keep left and continue up to the crag, reaching it at an old stone animal enclosure immediately below sector L’Obsessió de Tibar (10 minutes from P3). For sector Cavall de Troia keep going leftwards along the base of the cliff.
🚶♂️🧗♂️Lolo Decotón:
from P3 follow the left-hand of two very obvious path/tracks leading diagonally leftwards towards the cliffs. Where the path splits keep right and continue up to the crag (10 minutes from P3).
🚶♂️🧗♂️Jet Lag, Guacamole, Zum Zum Zum and Thailand Babes:
from P3 follow the right-hand of the two obvious paths leading up to the cliffs, reaching the crag below sector Jet Lag (10 minutes). Sector Guacamole is situated immediately to the right then there is a gap of 30m before reaching Zum Zum Zum and a further 70m to get to Thailand Babes.
