Ilmava ja jännä trave. 2011 kiipesin varmaankin naapurin ankkuriin oikealle.

400ish meters. ”The gentle big wall” indeed as the guide tells. Not that much if caught up in the rain after 250 meters. Third to last pitch, already wet. Second to last pitch basically a waterfall. Hopefully my first and last experience of such. Glad it was easy enough.

400ish meters. Graded 5 in the guidebook, but did feel sometimes like a 6a.. Takes some route finding. In the upper half ended up in a tad harder and more runout section than was prepared for (referring to guide book). Maybe got lost? Nice day out anyway.

Weekend project. Untypically continuous for Finnish granite. Handholds are quite good but careful and precise foot placements were the key.

Nice juggy haul. The line is incorrectly drawn. It ends below the roof at the first anchor.

Linked the 2nd pitch, which is now bolted. 80m rope was at least enough.

Not as appealing as the others on this sector but has good moves. Near vertical climbing. Some loose rock, so needs more traffic.

So pumped.. maybe not the best warm up after all.

Not the best warmup.

It is long and it is overhanging. Starts quite intensively. Milk the rests and feel the pump, also in your legs. Get ready for some big moves. Two sessions and four tries.

Super. 2nd try, but worked the moves extensively after the os attempt. Did not particularly like the end. Still, definitely a classic.

On-sight 7b.. feels easier when you know the moves.

A bit sharp, good moves.

Technical.

Super desperate and bouldery start. Found my way around the mono. Nice upper section that keeps you on your toes all the way to the end. Two sessions this trip and I remember trying the start without any success way back with Kari.

Climbs like a charm. Some sharp holds so tape your fingers. Millimeters away from onsight.

Starts with mono. Really good, sustained and relatively large holds.

Techically not an on-sight, because I climbed the neighboring route first, which shares the first two moves.

Fun jug haul albeit "mähmäinen".

Kuusi sessiota kahden kauden aikana, lukuisia yrkkiä. Itselle vaikeampi kuin yksikään aiemmin kiipeämäni 8a. Muuvit on erinomaiset ja flow hyvä kun betat saa kuntoon. Sormekas kuin mikä, eikä siksi kylläkään omaa tyyliäni. Muutama tosi kirpeä ote, mutta siltikin jostain syystä aina palasin paikalle. Kiitokset Minalle sessioista.

Erinomaisen upea pätkä. Toki muutamia kauneusvirheitä tässäkin on, mutta ansaitsee siltikin kolme tähteä. Graniittitufa! Neljännellä yrkällä kilahti ketjut, kun vaimo keksi paremman kruksibetan.

Really good. After Om krisen.. lowered, placed the draws and checked the holds before climbing.

Kiipesin kyllä lopussa vasemmalta. On vaan niin obvious kun ankkurikin siellä.

Ylhäällä on useampikin vaihtoehto. Ja yks melko helppo, joten alku on kyllä se piffi.

Likainen. Kaatunut puu yläällä pakotti vähän oikealle, ja tuntu aika vaikealta greidiin nähden sitä kautta.

Jatkuva! Mainiota tekemistä ihan loppuun asti.

Napakka kruksi, siitä huolimatta hieno kokonaisuus. Synttärisendi.

Olipa hieno ja melko sporttinen!

Todellinen klassikko! Yksi hienoimmista kiipeämistäni tämän greidin linjoista Suomessa. Viimein tuli vierailtua täälläkin.

Mukavaa muuvittelua tosiaan! Hyvä lisäys kaltsille, pääsee kuolevaisetkin kiipeemään hienon lopun Remember the Flamesta. Kädet rampilla.

Täähän oli hieno. Ja hyvin varmistettava.

Kiipesin vissiin väärin, mutta sinne minne ränni luonnollisesti johti. Neloselta tuntu. Vois olla omana linjanaan topossa?

Led the 1st scramble pitch. 2nd pitch is the Thing: quality low angle slab crack climb.

Super good indeed. The roof looks much harder than it is.

Tough start!

Classic. First pitch is pure gold. Led 1st and 3rd.

Climbs like a charm with weird dike formations and occasional crack systems. Run-out for sure. Many no-fall zones. Led the first pitch.

Bear's reach move on 2nd pitch is a joke. Good footholds allow you to stand up to a no-hands stance for reaching it. I found the hardest move to be in the first pitch, after the unprotected traverse where there is a lack of foot holds. 2nd pitch was a bit run-out, but climbing is relatively easy with cool dikes and flakes.
